Few things are more annoying than a cold/flu inhibiting your training progress.

So should you “sweat it out” or take a break from the gym?

It’s simple….

Exercise with cold or flu photo

If it’s above the neck – it’s ok to train but reduce your training intensity
if it’s below the neck – rest up.

The common cold typically includes runny nose, slight coughing, sneezing, etc. (“above the neck symptoms”) when the virus is mild.

The flu is more severe and usually includes aches and fever (“below the neck symptoms”).
