Try adding Plyometrics!
Plyometrics are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power (speed-strength).
Give this routine a try:
1. 5 min warm up on treadmill/elliptical/rower.
2. 5 sets of the following:
– 10 Barbell Squats (strength move).
– 10 Jumping Lunges (plyometrics).
3. 5 min HIIT cardio on treadmill/elliptical/rower.
4. 4 sets of the following Plyometric Routine:
– 10 Medicine Ball Slams.
– 10 Speed Skater Jumps
– 10 Clapping Push Ups
– 10 Jump Squats.
